Rather than sitting in my house wondering what if one tree fell in Trollskogen Park on one child, I am writing today to convince the city to cut down the dead trees at the old Trollskogen Park. It would also benefit the park to update the old equipment.
Instead of not letting anyone go and enjoy the old park because "It's not safe" (due to old trees and equipment), why not just take a little time and cut some of the trees down. Maybe also put up new equipment so children, adults, and families can come and enjoy the old historical park.
Blocking this land is wasteful. It seems as if the leadership in our town is ignoring the problem. If the city council continues to let this slide, voters need to remember that at election time. We need good board members that do good things for our community, like adding a new theater and pool.
I hope we can fix this tiny problem; it could bring joy to our town and neighboring town's citizens. Let your ideas be known. Don't wait until it is too late and someone gets injured. Keep our parks safe and enjoyable.
