2018 Fillmore Central volleyball wraps up season

The Fillmore Central volleyball team finished the 2018 season with a 17-12 record, which included a second place (10-1) finish in the Three Rivers Conference. 

The team had a 17-11 regular season record, then lost to Caledonia in the first round of the 1A East sub-section tournament.  The Lady Falcons were the No. 5 seed in the sub-section tournament, Caledonia was seeded fourth.

Wabasha-Kellogg won the TRC crown with a perfect 11-0 record.  Mabel-Canton was the 1A East sub-section champion, then lost to Medford for the 1A section championship.

Here are the Fillmore Central stat leaders for the 2018 season.  In sets (games) played the Lady Falcons were 50-32 for their 29 matches.

Most sets played:  82, Madison Scheevel, Paige Donlinger, KJ Corson; 81, Katrina Bergey, Kandace Sikkink;  78, Hadley Yoder;  77, Madison Krage.

Top serving percentage: Scheevel, 343/357, 96.08 percent; Bergey, 81/85, 95.29 percent; Corson, 236/253, 93.28 percent; Daysha Erickson, 173/189, 91.53 percent; Donlinger, 326/366, 89.07 percent.  Team:1616/1802, 89.68 percent.  Charity Daniels and Madalyn Kinneberg were 1/1, 100 percent.

Most ace serves: Stella Schrufer, 40; Donlinger, 36; Scheevel, 31; Yoder, 31; Corson, 26; Erickson, 19.  Team, 203.

Best ace serving percentage.  Schrufer, 20.10 percent; Yoder, 11.36 percent; Bergey, 10.59 percent; Corson, 10.28 percent; Erickson, 10.05 percent.   Krista Jorgenson was at 30.00 percent (3/10), Lauren Mensink, 20.10 percent (5/23), and Sikkink, 13.64 percent (3/22).  Team, 11.27 percent.

Most kills: Donlinger, 227; Schrufer, 168; Sikkink, 127; Yoder, 100; Krage, 85; Scheevel, 80.  Team, 861.

Hitting efficiency (average), minimum of 200 attacks: Scheevel, .2470 (80 kills-19 errors-247 attacks); Schrufer, .2154 (168-70-455); Krage, .1660 (85-42-259); Sikkink, .1488 (127-59-457); Donlinger, .1226 (227-126-824).  Molly McKernan had an average of .2727 (5-2-11) and Erickson was at .1667 (1-0-6).  Team, .1,517 (861-427-2,861).
