Harold Corydon Wright, 89, formerly of Spring Grove

Harold Corydon Wright, 89, formerly of Spring Grove and recently living in Minnetonka, Minn., died Feb. 10, 2020, in Villa of St. Louis Park Nursing Home.

He was born May 28, 1930, in Beloit, Wis., to Corydon and Beola Wright. He worked for the Milwaukee Railroad, was owner of Wright Electronics, worked at Control Data/Seagate as quality manger, was a United States Postal Service mail carrier and worked at Macy's. He served as second lieutenant in the Army during the Korean War and was a life member of the American Legion in Spring Grove and a member of the VFW.

He also belonged to Oak Knoll Lutheran Church and was a veteran member of Boy Scouts for over 50 years, receiving the Silver Beaver and Baden Powell awards. He was a member of Masons of Minnesota Caledonia Lodge No. 20.

Survivors include his wife, June (Ganrud); daughters, Linda (Michael) Leimer of Plymouth, Minn., and Susan (Robert) Welliver of Chanhassen, Minn.; son, Dr. David (Pamela) Wright of New Hope, Pa.; grandchildren, Sarah (Carlos) Arroys, Nicholas (Melissa) Welliver and Maxwell Wright; and great-granddaughters, Jada and Savannah Arroyo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Beatrice (Martin) Sarich.

A memorial service was held Saturday, Feb. 15, at Oak Knoll Lutheran Church in Minnetonka. Interment is at Fort Snelling at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Washburn-McReavy in Hopkins, Minn.
