Lorraine Harry, 82, of Spring Grove

Lorraine Venita (Reinord) Harry, age 82 of Spring Grove and formerly of Fridley, MN passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 6, 2019 at Tweeten Lutheran Care Center in Spring Grove, after battling dementia.

She was born in Mille Lacs County, MN at home on Nov. 11, 1936 to Roy and Venita (Johnson) Reinord.

Lorraine grew up in the Princeton area, graduating from Princeton High School.

She married Ernest Harry on Nov. 12, 1955. The couple worked side by side at their own business Ultimate Numbering Machine Services, retiring when Ernest was diagnosed with dementia in 2015.

She was a former member of St. Phillips Lutheran Church in Fridley, where she worked many years on the St. Phillips garage sale commity.

Lorraine loved to fish, but would not clean them or eat them. The whole family went to 5th Crow Wing Lake each summer, staying in a cabin until a camper was bought.

Lorraine and Ernie went to the Bahama’s for their 25th Anniversary. They loved it but decided one trip there was enough, they also took a trip to Hawaii, Lorraine went back several times with friends.

Lorraine loved growing her own veggies and planted a garden every year until she just couldn’t get down to do the weeding anymore.

Lorraine taught herself how to do hardanger and made many beautiful pieces, including a Christmas mantel piece; Lorraine was happy living where Linda worked and would follow her around.

Lorraine is survived by her husband Ernest H. Harry of Spring Grove.

Her daughters Barbara (Harry) Hall of Quincy, IL, and Linda (Gerald) Tollefsrud of Spring Grove.

Her grandchildren Stacey (Ron) Harness, Chris (Becky) Tuveson of Houston, Mn, Erica Brooks of Lincoln, NE, Jeremy (Alicia) Tuveson of Eagle, NE, Angela Harry.

Step Grandchildren; Christine (Kevin) Van Horn of Spillville, IA, Todd (Charlene) Tollefsrud of Spring Brook, WI, Eighteen Great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Venita Reinord, her brother Ralph Reinord, her son Bob in 2010 (Linda’s twin), and by her step-granddaughter Beth Tollefsrud Peterson.

Memorial services were held on Monday, July 15 at 1 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove.

Pastor Elizabeth Hermeier officiated.

Burial will be at a later date.

Friends called at the church on Monday from 11 a.m. until time of service.

Roble Funeral Home of Spring Grove is assisting the family with arrangements.
