Senior Caledonia/Spring Grove/Houston soccer player Avery Zahn was named to the 2019 Three Rivers All-Conferencesoccer team while senior Melanie Seymour and junior Gabby Roble received Honorable Mention.

Zahn, a team caption, scored the winning goal against Schaeffer Academy while playing center midfield. "Avery was a consistent player throughout this year and through her four-year varsity career," said coach Chris Jandt.

"She was an all-around player through the midfield and very reliable defensively

"She was willing to play any position we needed her to. She played defense, holding and attacking midfield, outside forward." He noted that she also had a few saves as a back-up goalkeeper.

Seymour, also a team captain, "has been a key contributor on the defense for the past two years," said Jandt. He said she learned the Warriors' new defense quickly and made the correct adjustments. "When Melanie was out with injuries, it was difficult to replace her leadership."

Robleended the season with two goals and two assists. "Throughout the year, she continued to develop and get better," said her coach. "She played all three positions up top and really worked hard.

"She was relentless on her attacks and was willing to play high pressure defense on the offensive half (of the field). She forced a lot of turnovers with her pressure and allowed our offense extra opportunities."
