The Kingsland Builders Club has chosen Ayden Schleusner as its October Builders Club Student of the Month.  He is the son of Shanna Brown Hanson, Brent Hanson and Kyle Schleusner.

The seventh grader is active in band, choir, ag, art, football, basketball, softball and baseball.  He has also participated in Project Lead the Way (PLTW) and physical education classes. His favorite class is agriculture, he said, while his least favorite is art.

Outside of school, he’s kept busy with his summer job and hanging out with friends. He worked in the summer, mowing lawns, due to the influence of Dustin Kimball. He enjoys mowing for “the exercise in it,” he said.  In his spare time, he likes to talk to or hang out with friends.

His favorite movie is “G-Force” due to the humor and his favorite book is “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” because of the concept and the plot of the book, he noted. “My hobbies are really just lay in my dark room, watching YouTube or listening to music in said room,” he said.

As for his likes, listening to country music is one and he said he “would live off of chicken because it’s good and healthy, and I don’t like stuffing. My pet peeve is nails on a chalkboard.”

If he could go to any country for free, he would choose Paris, France, for the view.  If he could go to any state for free, he would go to Texas because his grandmother lives there.

“I admire my friend Ashton Holland for his humor, my friend Emerson Willford for emotional support – and he is a good friend, and Daizie Johnson because I can tell her anything and she will keep it a secret,” he said.

“If I could change one thing in the world, it would be stopping world hunger because I believe everybody should get a good meal,” Schleusner said. “I would like to become a scientist because I really, really like science, and just like every little boy, I wanted to be a cop as a kid.”
