The Lanesboro High School trap shooters had the second best team score in the conference last week and "shot up" two places (from fifth to third) in the league standings.

After a team total of 833 in the first week and 1,030 in the second week, the Burros improved to 1,237 last week. They jumped over two teams to rank third in the season standings with two weeks remaining in the conference race.

And they trail second-place Isle by only 100 points; they outscored Isle by 359 points last week.

Leading the way in week three was Zachary Torgerson with a 46 (out of 50), one bird better than promising first-year shooter Holdyn Willford (45.)

Jordan Peterson hit 43 clay targets while Logan Torgerson and Lauren Zoellner hit 42. Zoellner hit 50 in a row, having shot down her last 25 in Week 2 and the first 25 in Week 3.

Ben Snyder connected with 41 clays while Trevor Ruen hit 40 with 39 each by Alex Reimann and Logan Jensson.

William Asleson and Jacob Peterson each scored 38 with Harlee Wead and Braedon Vagts each at 34 and Caden Johnson at 33.
