The Chatfield golf teams ended their season this past week at the Section 1AA tournament in Cannon Falls.

For the girls, Mollie Henry shot a first round 119 for her 18 holes and Paige Erickson had a score of 129.  Neither gal advanced to the second round of play, and because the team had only two players, Chatfield did not get a team score.

The Chatfield boys had a first-round team score of 459, and did not make it into the finals.  Individually, Riley Mulhern had a score of 102, Chatfield’s best for the 18-holes.  Also golfing, and their scores, were Sam Rudlong (111), Colton Johnson (112), Ryan House (134), Tadyn Burnett (139) and Bralyn Burnett (172).  None of the Chatfield golfers made it into the final round of play.

The boys’ team championship was won by Red Wing with a total score of 635 (321-314) for the two days.  Second place went to Pine Island/Zumbrota-Mazeppa (666), third was Stewartville (671) and Lewiston-Altura/Rushford-Peterson was fourth with a score of 687.

Medalist for the boys was Cecil Belise, Red Wing, with a 36-hole total of 139.  Jacob Anderson (LARP) missed going to the state by one stroke.

Red Wing also won the girls title, recording a two-day score of 635.  Leah Herzog (RW) was medalist with a score of 140, which is four under par.

The Section 1A girls’ title was won by Fillmore Central.  That was the Lady Falcons sixth straight Section 1A crown.  Madison Scheevel (FC) was the Section 1A girls’ medalist.  The boys’ 1A title went to Faribault Bethlehem Academy.
