Residents of the Rushford Peterson Valley came together last Saturday in support of two local families: The Lee family and the Westby family. The first annual Cycling for a Cure event was held in Peterson last Saturday in honor of Steve Lee who recently passed away from cancer. Cycling for a Cure will be an annual event geared toward raising money for cancer research.

Also on Saturday in Rushford was a cancer benefit motorcycle ride with nearly 200 riders, and a live auction at Nordic Lanes to support Deeann Westby who is currently battling cancer.
