Emerson Harberts

Emerson Melissa Harberts, 8, of Dodge Center, died on Friday, Sept. 7, 2018, from injuries sustained in a car accident in Claremont.

She was born on July 8, 2010, in Albert Lea, to Brandon and Rachel (Post) Harberts.

She was in the third grade at Blooming Prairie Elementary. She loved going to school and reading. In her free time, she would sing, dance, play dress up and swim. She just learned how to water-ski this year.

She enjoyed going to her grandparents’ houses, playing with her cousins at the beach and boating with her family. She loved receiving flowers on her birthday from her daddy, which was something she looked forward to every year.

She is survived by her father, Brandon Harberts; her brother, Jaxon of Dodge Center; her grandparents, Paul and Lynette Harberts of Rochester and Jerry and Sharon Post of Lanesboro and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A funeral service for her will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Rochester. Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
