The Fillmore Central/Lanesboro baseball team won two games last week, downing Cotter 9-6 Tuesday and picking up an inter-divisional win against GMLOK 7-2 on Friday.

This week the team will have seven games, five regularly scheduled and two suspended games that the team will complete.  Tuesday, they were scheduled to travel to La Crescent for a doubleheader, Wednesday they travel to Lewiston-Altura to make up a suspended game with the Cardinals and also make up a suspended game with the Ramblers.  Thursday they are at St. Charles for a cross-over game with the Saints and Friday they host Caledonia for a doubleheader.  Friday is also the Frank Jaszewski Field dedication day.  Ceremony will precede the start of the doubleheader.

The regular season ends next week with a doubleheader at Rushford-Peterson on Tuesday and a home game with Wabasha-Kellogg on Thursday.

That’s the current schedule, unless of course we are derailed by the weather, and that’s definitely a possibility, especially this year.

In the win over Cotter, Colten Kraling went the distance on the mound to get the win.  He scattered nine hits over the five-inning contest, allowing six runs (five earned), striking out six and walking two.

On offense, Ryli Tostenson led the team with three hits in three at-bats.  He scored two runs.  Logan Corson went two-for-two, scored two runs and drove in four.  Kraling helped his own cause as he went one for one and had two runs-batted-in.  Also coming up with hits were Carson Schwichtenberg, Carter Johnson and Brady Ristau.  Also scoring runs were Schwichtenberg (2), Hadrian Williams, Cody Schoenmann and Ian Shupe.  Nate Haugerud had a bases-loaded RBI walk in the third inning.
