Fillmore Central golfers winding down season

It was a quiet week in golf this past week with only a couple matches as the season winds down.

Girls

The Fillmore Central gals came out on top 188-198 in a dual match with Lewiston-Altura/Rushford-Peterson.  Madison Scheevel had the low score, shooting a 38 for nine holes on the Harmony course.  Other FC golfers: Hailey Lange (45), Taylor Bushman (51), Marissa Topness (54), Courtney Hershberger (55) and Chloe Morem (58).

Tuesday night the gals were scheduled to have a match against La Crescent-Hokah and Thursday they go to the Three Rivers Conference meet at Willow Creek, Rochester.

Boys

The boys lost to LARP 211-170.  Jake Fishbaugher had the low score for the boys with a 45.  Other FC scores: Landon Nevalainen (48), Nate Storlie (55), Riley Lange (63), Cory Brown (65) and Jay Bissen (73).  Jake Anderson (L-A) was medalist with a score of 38.

JV scores for the Falcons: Carson Berg (62) and Haven O’Connor (81).

LARP tied for the TRC-east championship with La Crescent-Hokah. The boys also have the conference tournament on Thursday.

Section meet

The Section 1A meet is scheduled for May 28 and 30, also at Willow Creek, for both boys and girls.
