Frank ‘Cisco’ Jackson, 63, of Spring Valley

Frank “Cisco” Jackson, 63, of Spring Valley, died March 12, 2019, at Mayo Clinic Saint Marys Hospital Campus, Saint Marys Hospice in Rochester.

He was born Oct. 26, 1955, in St. Paul to William and Mary (Devora) Jackson. He joined the Army in 1972 and was honorably discharged in 1974. He was proud to be a veteran and to have served his country. He was retired from Mayo Clinic.

He met his best friend, Julie Northouse, on Sept. 17, 1979, and they were married Sept. 15, 1990, at Zumbro Lutheran Church in Rochester. They moved to Spring Valley in October 2007.

He loved music, singing and playing his drums. He was a member of the St. Paul Scouts Drum & Bugle Corp.

His heart overflowed when it came to his love of all animals. Cisco and Julie had two cats and five dogs waiting to greet him when he died, and two more dogs to stay with Julie. His backseat was a taxi to many stray dogs as he drove the countryside to get them home safely.

Cisco generously donated his body for medical education and research to Mayo Clinic and “Lions Gift of Sight” cornea donation to restore vision.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Darryl and Lois Northouse, his father, William Jackson, and a brother, David Jackson.

A celebration of life supper will be held on March 24 at 4 p.m. at Valley Christian Center in Spring Valley.
