GMLOKS track teams take first at own triangular

At the GMLOKS track and field invitational, the local teams took first in both the boys and girls team scoring and really dominated their opponents.

Boys team scoring: GMLOKS 141, Blooming Prairie 75, Rochester Area Christian Educators 69, Lyle/Pacelli 39 and Schaeffer Academy 24.

Girls team scoring: GMLOKS 160, RACE 85, L/P 51, BP 50 and SA 16.

Getting gold medals for the girls were Hailey Hindt (100m hurdles, :17.04: 300m hurdles, :51.57), Emily Hovden (100m, :13.41), 4x200 (Lauren Buchholtz, Hovden, Riley Queensland, Jordyn Glynn, 1:49.77), 4x100 (Anika Reiland, Kassidy Kirtz, Hovden, Isabelle Olson, :52.34), Riley Queensland (high jump, 5’2”), Lauren Buchholtz (long jump, 16’ ½”).  Silver medals (second place) for the gals: Madison Hindt (100m hurdles, :18.02: 300m hurdles, :52.35), Anika Reiland (100m, :13.48), Aubrie Schneider (1600m, 6:00.40), Sydnie Bissen (800m, 2:54.36), 4x400 (L Buchholtz, Glynn, H Hindt, Hannah Feuerer, 4:31.70), Hovden (pole vault, 7’), Glynn (long jump, 15’6”: triple jump, 33’), Greta Warmka (shot put, 28’ ¼”)

Bringing home the gold for the boys: Drew Lewison (110m hurdles, :16.68: 300m hurdles, :39.50: 200m, :24.06), Luke Speer (100m, :12.33), Jacob Kerrins (400m, :57.24).  Getting second place were: Blake Ludemann (110m hurdles, :19.54), 4x200 (James Howard, Christian Hjelman, Vincent Giebel, Kerrins, 1:42.32), Matt Scaglione (1600m, 5:23.27), Christian Hjelman, (400m, :58.10), 4x400, B (Howard, Giebel, Brendan Kennedy, Kerrins, 4:03.96), John Hegge (triple jump, 34’10”), Ian Meisner (shot put, 36’ 11 ¼”).

Next up for the thinclads was the True Team meet.  That was held this past Tuesday in Dover-Eyota.  The Southeast Conference Track Meet is next Tuesday, May 15, in Grand Meadow.
