The Kingsland golfers hit the road last week for a Southeast Conference matchup with Glenville-Emmons. The Knights took a trip down to the Northwoods Golf Course in Iowa to play the dual meet. The Kingsland boys beat Glenville-Emmons 205 to 353.

The Kingsland girls didn’t take a complete team to the meet. The Knights missed a meet at Lanesboro on Friday, April 12, because of winter weather. That meet has been rescheduled for May 24.

Boys results

Wyatt Pruter was the boys’ individual medalist with a 44. Nick Wernimont shot a 52, Nathan Lund a 53 and Gregg Hubka rounded out the team scoring with a 56.

Girls results

While Kingsland didn’t bring a complete team to the meet, they did finish with the individual medalist. Madeline Moore led all the girls with a 63, while Kylie Welch shot a 66.

Schedule

The golfers were scheduled to be back in action on Monday, April 15, against Southland and Dover-Eyota, but that’s been postponed and will be rescheduled. Thursday, April 18, the Kingsland boys head to the Stewartville Invitational. Both teams are back in action on Monday, April 22, at Chatfield.
