Thrower Taylor Holty and several Caledonia/Spring Grove sprinters were at their best with several personal records as the regular season ended at the Dover-Eyota Track Meet on May 17.

In the team standings, the girls finished in the middle, fourth place among seven teams. With limited numbers, the boys entered only half of the 18 events and were not a major factor in the team scoring. The top seven places in each event earned team points.

The postseason begins Thursday, May 24 at the subsection meet in Rushford.

Jack Beardmore broke the field record as well as his personal record while winning the 100-meter dash in 11.26 seconds. The previous record was held by Payton Schott, who finished second on this day for host D-E. Cullen Patterson ran seventh for C/SG at 11.90.

Holty broke his personal record with a discus distance of 137 feet, 10 inches - good for second place.

Dalen Lemke was third in the long jump (17 feet, 8 inches) with Chris Pieper seventh.

Beardmore and Patterson were joined by Nick McCabe and Kai Bjerke in placing third in the 4x100-meter relay.

McCabe, Patterson and Beardmore, along with Marten Morem were fourth in the 4x200-meter relay.

Brady Roendahl earned seventh place points in shot put.
