Hydee Overend

Hydee Lori (Krahn) Overend, 51, of Rochester, died Monday, May 7, 2018, surrounded by her family at Mayo Clinic Hospital — Saint Marys Campus.

Hydee was born on Oct. 8, 1966, to Loren “Butch” and Sharon (Bedtke) Krahn.

Hydee is survived by her two sons, Seth (Rachel) and Lucas Overend; her grandson, Sawyer; sisters, Lou Ann (Ron) Piens and Kasey (John) Fousek; brother, Chris Chytracek; father, Loren (Pam) Krahn; nieces, Jennifer (Ryann) Collins and McKenzie Beck. She is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Sharon.

Hydee had a love of dogs, both large and small, from her “little people” to her Great Danes. She had a green thumb and grew beautiful plants and flowers. Hydee greatly enjoyed motorcycles and being outdoors. She was also an excellent baker and cook. Her whimsical humor included things like the special nicknames she gave each of us to the gnome house in the yard. Her life ended far too soon. She was loved, and she will be missed.

A celebration of Hydee’s life, led by Pastor Heather E. Klason, was held on Saturday, May 12, at the Dover United Methodist Church, 105 Pleasant St. South, in Dover. Hydee was laid to rest next to her mother in Little Valley Cemetery, located at the intersection of County Road 10 Northeast and 163rd Avenue Northeast, St. Charles.
