The Kingsland Knights were back in action at a cross-country meet hosted by the Byron Bears on Tuesday, Sept. 11.

The Knights were running after an unexpected week off. Their previous meet at Hayfield was cancelled because too much water was on the course.

The Kingsland boys only took four runners to Byron, which meant they were one runner short of competing in the team competition, won by the hometown Byron squad. The Kingsland girls placed third in the meet out of three complete teams. Byron made it a sweep of the team titles by taking the girls’ championship as well.
