Lanesboro trap team rained out at state

The Lanesboro trap team had an unfortunate end to their spring season, but it wasn’t due to poor shooting. The Burros didn’t get to participate at all in the Minnesota Clay Target League Championship Tournament because of non-stop rain. It rained and rained all day, forcing a cancellation of the Class 1A competition at Alexandria.

Therefore, regular-season scores were used to compute the winners of the Class 1A tournament and qualifiers for the Minnesota State High School League Tournament.

Burro coach Dustin Flattum said he was disappointed, not just because the whole team didn’t get to participate, but felt he had a couple of shooters that had a legitimate chance of qualifying for the MSHSL Clay Target State Championship on June 22.
