For the Lanesboro/Mabel-Canton golfers, last week's tour began with a non-conference dual at Harmony versus Fillmore Central. "It was cold, wet and miserable out there, but they were able to finish all nine," said L/MC coach Krissy Overland. "Scores reflected the weather and were not what we were hoping for, but our boys were able to beat the Fillmore Central boys by three strokes." (211-214)

With several veterans back from last year's state runner-up season, the Falcon girls coasted past the mostly inexperienced L/MC girls.

Two days later, it was 18 holes at The Bluffs at Coffee Mill for Wabasha-Kellogg's 2019 Falcon Invitational.

"The weather was cool, but no rain so that was nice," said Overland.  "We had our best tournament showing of the year."
