LARP boys and girls third at TRC meet

The LARP golfers finished up the regular season last week, starting with the Cannon Falls Invitational on Monday, May 27. The boys finished tied for fifth out of 11 teams and the girls took fifth in the six-team competition. The teams finished the regular season at the Three Rivers Conference Meet. The LARP boys finished second behind La Crescent-Hokah in the team competition, while the LARP girls were third behind team-title winner Caledonia.

Cannon Falls Invite

The LARP boys took part in the 11-team meet and wound up tied for fifth with a team score of 348 strokes. Stewartville captured the boys’ team title. The LARP girls finished fifth in the six-team girls’ competition.

Boys’ Individual Results

Zach Anderson shot an 81 over the 18-hole course to lead LARP. Jacob Anderson was next with an 83, Mason Kelly scored a 91, and Carter Lang completed the team score with a 93. Jeremiah Hines shot 102 and Andrew Hoiness added a 111.

Luke Alexander of Rochester Lourdes was the individual medalist with an impressive score of 73 strokes. Zach Anderson finished tied with Cole Janssen of Stewartville for fifth-place in the individual standings with his score of 81. Jacob Anderson finished in a three-way tie for 7th with his 83.

Girls’ Individual Results

Anna Hennessey led the LARP girls with a 100. Alexa Agin was right behind with a 101. Lexi Reps was next with a 108 and Lili Reps finished the team score with a 120. Haley Krull also played and shot a 133 for LARP.

Leah Herzog and Sophia Yoemans of Red Wing both had fantastic days, finishing tied for the individual medalist spot with identical scores of 67 over 18 holes. 

TRC Meet

The LARP boys and girls were off to the Willow Creek Golf Course in Rochester for the Three Rivers Conference Meet last Thursday. LARP took third place in the girls’ team standings with a score of 341. The LARP boys finished in third place. La Crescent captured the boys’ team title while Caledonia took the girls’ title with a 363.

Girls Individual Results

Lexi Reps led the LARP girls with a score of 95 strokes over 18 holes. Hennessy was next with a 98. Agin scored a 100 and Lilli Reps added a 102, wrapping up the team score. McElmury finished with a 115 and Krull scored 125 strokes.

Madison Scheevel was the individual medal winner with an 18-hole score of 78.

Boys Individual Results

The LARP boys placed four golfers on the top ten individual scoring list. Zach Anderson once again led LARP with a score of 80, taking the second spot. Jacob Anderson fifth at 84. Andrew Hoiness finished eighth with a score of 88 and Carter Lang had the No. 10 score overall with an 89. Jeremiah Hines scored 90 and Mason Kelly shot a 91.

Owen Davison of La Crescent-Hokah shot a 76 to win the boy’s individual medalist award.

All-Conference Awards

LARP boys named all-conference are Zach Anderson, Jacob Anderson, Carter Lang, and Mason Kelly.

LARP all-conference girls’ award winners include Lexi Reps and Anna Hennessy.


The LARP golfers head right back to the Willow Creek Golf Course in Rochester for the two-day Section 1A tournament, May 28 and 30.
