LARP golfers face tough La Crescent-Hokah squads

The LARP golf teams were on the road for their only meet of the week last Tuesday, April 23, against La Crescent-Hokah. The meet was played at the Valley High Golf Course in Houston. L-H came away with a sweep, winning the boys’ competition 169-182 while the girls beat R-P 213-221.

Boys’ results

Both teams shot well, with La Crescent-Hokah winning the dual matchup by a score of 169-182. The lowest four scores combined to produce each team score, with the eight golfers all shooting under 50. The Lancers’ Ryan Lemke was the boys’ medalist with a nine-hole score of 41.

Zach Anderson posted the low score for LARP, shooting a 43. Carter Lang was next with a 44. Jacob Anderson (46) and Mason Kelly (49) rounded out the team scoring for LARP. Other golfers included Jeremiah Hines (52) and Andrew Hoiness (56) also took part in the meet.

Girls’ Results

The girls’ varsity match was also very competitive, with the Lancers coming out on top by a score of 213-221. The Lancers’ also had the girls’ medalist as Anna Tollefson shot a meet low of 42.

Anna Hennessy led LARP with a low score of 51. Lili Reps was second at 54, followed by a tie between Alexis Reps and Alexa Agin as they each shot a 58. Other LARP golfers included Halle McElmury (65) and Haley Krull (76) also participated in the meet.


The LARP boys’ golf team kicked off the week with a multi-team meet at the Lake City Golf Course. Weather permitting, the LARP boys and girls will get to host a meet on their home course on Friday, April 26, against Wabasha-Kellogg.
