LARP golfers on a roll

The LARP boys’ and girls’ golf teams were busy last week, starting things off with a split at home against Caledonia on Monday, April 29. Both teams were at a multi-team meet at Wabasha-Kellogg on Thursday, May 2, and both teams finished second in the standings. They wrapped up the week by sweeping a dual matchup against Fillmore Central on Friday, May 3, at the Ferndale Golf Course.

Split with Caledonia

The LARP golfers kicked off last week with a home meet against Caledonia. LARP earned a split as the boys won their dual rather handily, 175-224. Caledonia made it a split by taking a tightly-contested girls’ matchup by just five strokes, 213-218.

Boys’ Individual Results

The LARP golfers clearly enjoyed playing on their home course as all six boys shot lower than 50 over the nine holes. Jacob Anderson led the LARP boys, as well as capturing medalist honors, with a meet-low score of 40 strokes over the nine-hole tourney. Zach Anderson scored a 44, Mason Kelly a 45, and Jeremiah Hines added a 46 to round out the team scoring. Carter Lang added a 47 and Andrew Hoiness shot a 49.

Riley Augedahl was the low-scorer for Caledonia and the only Warrior to finish under 50, shooting a 46.

Girls’ Individual Results

Lexi Reps led the LARP girls with a score of 50. Anna Hennessy was right behind with a 51. Lilli Reps was third with a 58 and Alexa Agin finished up the team scoring with a 59.   Halle McElmury added a 69 and Haley Krull shot a 76.

Jenna Wiebke of Caledonia was the individual medalist with a 46.

Individual Results

Ethan Atkinson and Anders Shurson tied for the low score, leading the LARP JV boys with a 53. Gavin Smith was next with a 56 and Diego Kreidermacher added a 59 to finish the team scoring. Jackson Dvorak added a 61 and Brady Stensgard a 65.

Drew Hauser led the Caledonia JB with a 58.

Wabasha-Kellogg Tournament

The LARP golfers headed off to a tournament hosted by Wabasha-Kellogg last Thursday at the Coffee Mill Golf Course. The girls finished second in the team standings with a 397 over the 18-hole tourney. The LARP boys also finished second with a score of 358.

Individual results

Anna Hennessy led the Trojans with a low score of 93. Lexi Reps and Lilli Reps each shot a 99 to tie for second. Alexa Agin wrapped up the team-scoring with a 106. Hallie McElmury added a 118.

Anna Tollefson was the girls’ individual medalist with an 85. Hennessy’s 93 placed her in third in the individual standings, while the 99’s from Lexi and Lilli Reps tied them for fifth.

Individual Results

Zach Anderson and Mason Kelly led the LARP boys, tying with a team-low score of 88. Jacob Anderson was third with a 90 and Carter Lang rounded out the team score with a 92. Jerry Hines added a 93 and Andrew Hoiness a 96.

Kenny Myhre of La Crescent was the boys’ individual medalist a low score of 81. Zach Anderson and Mason Kelly tied for seventh in the top ten with their scores of 88.

Swept dual with FC

The LARP golfers were back home for a dual with conference-rival Fillmore Central on Friday, May 3. LARP swept the team titles. The boys won 184-226, while the girls topped Fillmore Central 208-214.

Girls’ Individual Scores

Lexi Reps and Alexa Agin each shot a 50 to tie for team leader honors on the nine-hole course. Lilli Reps was third at 53 and Anna Hennessy was fourth and finished up the team scoring with a 55. Hallie McElmury scored a 62 and Haley Krull a 69.

Hailey Lang of Fillmore Central shot a 48 to claim medalist honors for the day.

Boys’ Individual Scores

Zach Anderson not only led all LARP boys with a nine-hole score of 41, he also finished as the meet medalist. Jacob Anderson was next with a 46 and Andrew Hoiness was third with a 48. There was tie fourth-place between Carter Lang and Mason Kelly, with each scoring a 49. Jeremiah Hines shot a 51.


The LARP boys and girls already kicked off the week on Tuesday, May 7, hosting a triangular meet against Houston and Kingsland. The LARP teams will wrap up the week on Friday, May 10, with a home dual against La Crescent-Hokah.
