Letter: Quick resolution needed after unfortunate incident

Reading the Brief: ”Spring Valley City Council, Spring Valley EDA hold joint meeting”  in the Bluff Country Reader issue of June 17 (page10), I am glad that our City Council is keeping lines of communication open with CEDA.

I was surprised and disappointed when Cathy Enerson, our EDA director, lost her position in April. I had the pleasure to work with Cathy on the “Making It Home” initiative and appreciated her high professionalism, and dedication.  She certainly had Spring Valley’s best interest at heart. Our city lost a precious resource with her departure. I also wish that the community had had the opportunity of an open discussion with the City Council when that important decision was made.

Cathy Enerson’s expertise will be difficult to replace.

I am just hoping that a quick resolution will be found and we will put that unfortunate incident behind us, and this in the interest of the entire community.
