Lois Hanson, 79, of Ostrander

Lois E. Hanson, 79, died Sept. 9, 2019, at Ostrander Care Center, surrounded by her family.

Lois Eleanore Kolve was born Jan. 1, 1940, daughter of Elmer and Hazel (Longseth) Kolve in Eau Claire, Wis.

On Aug. 30, 1958, she married James Arthur Hanson at Lookout Lutheran Church in Wisconsin.

She liked going on motorcycle rides with her husband, dancing to old time music and playing cards. She also enjoyed crocheting and fishing. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Ostrander.

She is survived by her sons, Ken (Judy) Hanson of Owatonna and Keith (Kari) Hanson of Peterson; granddaughters, Anna (fiancé Zachary Vick) of Lewiston and Kayla Hanson of Winona; stepgrandchildren, Mike, Mark and Michelle; and stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Sept. 5, 2014, and two sisters, Elaine and Marjory.

Memorial services were held on Thursday, Sept. 12, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ostrander with the Rev. Herman Bakker officiating. Burial was in Bloomfield Cemetery.
