Lucille L. Ginapp, 91, of rural Dexter, died on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018, of natural causes at Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield, where she had been a resident since April 2017.

Lucille Lois Soltow was born on March 22, 1927, in rural Ossian, Iowa, to Paul and Lois (Goldsworthy) Soltow.

She moved with her family as her father’s farm work changed during the Depression, attending country schools in Iowa and attending and graduating from Canton High School in 1946.

She was married on Sept. 24, 1946, at her parents’ home in Canton to Ruben C. Ginapp.

She operated Country Greenhouse and Nursery for more than 30 years, with the help of her family. A seasonal greenhouse, she sold seedlings, saplings and wedding and funeral floral arrangements. She continued to make her home on the Ginapp family farmstead until 2017.

She was a longtime active member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Sargeant volunteering with its Ladies Aid activities and teaching Sunday and Bible school. She enjoyed her vegetable garden and canning and was an avid Minnesota Twins fan. She enjoyed playing and winning at cards and collected three china cabinets worth of salt and pepper shakers. She enjoyed time spent visiting with friends and loved time spent with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Gary of rural Dexter; two daughters, Diane Puodziunas of White Bear Lake, Minn., and Ruby (Ray) Mundt of rural Spring Valley; seven grandchildren, Jason Ginapp (Jen Montgomery), Kristen (Troy) Zahradnik, Monica (Joe) Pexa, Michael Puodziunas (Bobbie Printz), Matthew Puodziunas (Tiffany Henry), Amanda (Jason) Irsfeld and Scott (Starrla) Mundt; nine great-grandchildren, Emma, Gabrielle, Drake, Josie, Sebastian, Roman, Kaitlynn, Paige and Landon; brother, Neil (Arleen) Soltow of Decorah, Iowa; many nieces and nephews and special second cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben; her grandson, Steve Mundt; daughter-in-law, Kerry Jo Ginapp; son-in-law, Casmier Puodziunas; nephew, Scott Soltow and an infant brother, Wayne Arnold Soltow.

The funeral service for her was held on Saturday, Sept. 29, at St. Johns Lutheran Church with the Rev. Ronald Prigge officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
