Rollis Larson

Rollis (Rollie) Odell Larson, 88, of Winona and formerly of Mabel, died peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019, surrounded by family.

He was born in Choice on May 21, 1930, to Harley and Emma Larson.

He grew up on a farm near Mabel.

He was a graduate of the University of Minnesota.

He was a United States Air Force veteran, an ag teacher, a hardworking farmer and an ag implement salesman. He enjoyed working outdoors, planting trees, feeding birds and singing in his choir.

He was a fun, gentle and humble man. His kindness, positive attitude and work ethic are his legacy.

He is survived by two daughters, Kande Larson and Jana Bledsoe; granddaughter Tayler; his second wife of 25 years, Leiha; his sisters, Helen Mann and Mavis Wolstad; his brother, Keith Larson; his second wife’s children, Teri Hauswirth (Brian), Gayle Januschka, Julie Galkowski (Jim) and Jim Januschka (Erika); her grandchildren, Anna (Mitul), Joey, Jacob (Katie), Emily (Todd), Allison, Olivia, Daniel, John, Noah, Gabby and James; her great-grandchildren, Grace and Will and many cousins, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Janice Steenerson.

Family will have a celebration of his life in Winona in the spring of 2019. Notification of exact date and location will be published at a later date.
