Scores better at Byron for gymnasts

The Caledonia/Spring Grove/Houston gymnasts did not win the dual meet at Byron but did improve the team score from the Byron Invitational five days previous.

Byron    132.700, C/SG/H 105.025

Again, the Warriors were most competitive on vault were Ayshia Gay had the team's highest score of the evening, 7.825. She also had the squad's highest mark on the balance beam (6.725) and placed third in all-around - her second time taking third place in a dual meet." 

Sabrina Lisota had a 7.775 in floor exercise, the team’s second highest individual score.

April Bauer had the Warriors' best individual finish with a fifth place on the uneven parallel bars (6.500). 

"We managed to beat our team total from the Byron Invite," said coach Jackie Johnson. "The girls had a good meet, and we were happy to see the team score improve. 

"April Bauer earned another conference point with her fifth place on bars. She has really put the time and effort into this event, and her scores are showing this with improvement as the season gets started." 

This week

The girls were at home on Tuesday of this week against Kasson-Mantorville. The Warriors travel to Pine Island on Friday, Dec. 20.
