The Caledonia/Spring Grove/Houston gymnasts, coming off their best team score in the previous meet, achieved their second-best total of the season 110.25in the final home meet on Jan. 28. However, the most accomplished squad on the schedule, Pine Island/Zumbrota-Mazeppaposted the best score of the season for a Warrior rival (136.05).

While competing against section juggernaut PIZM, eighth grader Braelyn Lange and sophomore Brianna Johnson were the only Warriors to rank among the top five in any event, both tying for fourth and fifth places on vault with scores of 8.225.

"We started out the meet strong on vault, scoring over 32 points," said coach Jackie Johnson. "We held it together on bars with our average of 25 points, although we have managed to score a lot higher on bars.

"We struggled with beam and did not do as well as we can on floor.  We still managed to have over a 110 for a varsity team score, so I am still happy with that. And JV again scoring in the 90s (92.15) is wonderful to see."

While Johnson and Lange shared the same top Warrior score on vault, Lange also led the team on bars (6.725) and beam.  Johnson had the team's best score on floor (7.4).

That duo had the top two Warrior scores on three of the four events. Freshman Cameryn Kruse was second to Lange on bars (6.35)
