Spring Grove Swim Center offers pool fun, lessons, aerobics

The official opening day for the Spring Grove Swim Center was Monday, June 4. 

The hot, sunny day saw many kids and adults enjoying waterslides, water basketball and cool treats at the snack shack.

The Swim center looks forward to another successful and safe swimming season. If you need swimming lessons, passes, water aerobics, the Swim Center is your resource.

Daily admission for this year is $4, free for seniors (65 and older) and ages two and under. Family season pass costs $200, single season pass is $75 and a punch card with 10 punches is $40.

Swim Diapers: $2 (Required for children 3 years of age and under).

Pool hours are daily, 1 to 6 p.m., with Friday night swim 7 to 9 p.m. with $2 admission.

2018 Swimming Lessons

Swimming is a lifelong skill that is essential for personal safety. Water Safety Instructors (WSI) at the Spring Grove Family SWIM Center offer the Learn to Swim program authorized and guided by the American Red Cross. 

Seven categories of skills are taught in each level: water adjustment, buoyancy, breath control, water entry/exit, locomotion, turns, personal safety and rescue. The Swim Center offers the following levels:

Level 1 Water Exploration

Level 2 Primary Skills

Level 3 Stroke Readiness

Level 4 Stroke Development

Level 5 Stroke Refinement

Level 6 Skill Proficiency

Level 7 Advanced Skills

They also offer Parent/Child lessons, Lifeguard Training and Lap Swim/Water Aerobics.

Swim Lessons

Group Lessons: $40, Private Lessons: $60

Private Lessons are one week in length Monday-Thursday (half hour each day) beginning June 11. Scheduling is available for 9 a.m. to noon and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday-Thursday. Fridays are makeup days as needed.

Lap swim/aerobics

Water Aerobics will take place Monday-Thursday 9 to 10 a.m.  or 8:15 to 9:15 p.m. The cost is $55.00/season or $4/time, June 11 to August 10. No senior citizen discount.

SWIM Party

The party enclosure is $50 plus admission. Includes your own fenced off area and five free admissions. The cost is $3 for each additional admission.

A private party is $300 and includes admission for everyone. You’ll get exclusive use of the SWIM Center for 2 hours.

A maximum of 35 people is allowed. All pool parties must be paid in full at the time of reservation.
